Waterbury Hospital has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® award for our commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability.
Service Excellence
Waterbury Hospital received the bronze award from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in 2024 for 20 years of excellent service in Echocardiography.

Chest Pain Center Accreditation from ACC
The American College of Cardiology (ACC) recognized Waterbury Hospital with Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI. We are the only hospital in Connecticut to hold this accreditation.
Superior Patient Satisfaction
For the last three years, VNA Health at Home has been awarded the Patient Satisfaction Award of Distinction by Fazzi’s Patient Satisfaction Service. This is awarded to home care agencies that have demonstrated superior performance in overall patient satisfaction results.
