Waterbury Hospital Closed To Visitors

WATERBURY HOSPITAL CLOSED TO VISITORS

Effective, Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 8 pm. Waterbury Hospital is closed to visitors with the following exemptions:

Compassionate Care visits

One support person in Family Birthing Center

One parent accompanying a minor child

One support person of patient with disability-related needs

 

The policy change comes as the number of COVID-19 positive patients in the hospital continues to increase and hospital officials are being proactive in protecting patients and colleagues.

The hospital continues to test all patients and follows strict guidelines for screening of all employees.

Outpatient testing to patient and the community is offered six days a week at its drive through Coronavirus Sampling Station, 68 Robbins Street, Monday – Saturday, 7 am to 1 pm.
