Dr. David Knight is a surgeon specializing in breast, abdominal, skin and soft tissue and trauma. Dr. Knight has been practicing medicine since 1987.
Dr. Knight received his medical education at the Medical College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed his post graduate training at Waterbury Hospital.
Dr. Knight is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Knight is founder and president of the charity Loupes Around the World which helps provide surgical loupes to surgeons in developing countries. Dr. Knight is the associate director of the Waterbury Hospital Surgical Residency Program. Dr. Knight travels to Liberia every year on a charity surgical mission with the HEARTT Foundation. He is the 2011 Waterbury Hospital Humanitarian of the Year.
