Dr. Raafat A. Gorgy is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Gorgy received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of NY Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York in 2010. He completed an internal medicine residency training at Seton Hall University at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in New Jersey and a family medicine residency training at Rowan University at Inspira Medical Center, also in New Jersey.
Prior to attending medical school in New York, Dr. Gorgy earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt and was a Clinical Pathologist for more than 20 years.
Dr. Gorgy comes to us from New Jersey, where he was a Family Practice Specialist and was affiliated with Choctaw Nation Health and Paterson NJ Services Authority. He has been practicing family medicine at the Community Health Center in New Jersey since 2015.
Dr. Gorgy specializes in caring for people of all ages and at all stages of life. His patients see him for everyday ailments, like cold and flu or respiratory infections and health screenings. He also provides physicals and treats chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, and provides advice on disease prevention.
Dr. Gorgy is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Gorgy is fluent in Arabic. His personal hobbies and interests include reading, and family and social activities.
